Michael Klausner received his MA in economics and JD from Yale University. Prior to joining the Stanford Law School faculty, he was on the faculty of New York University School of Law, served as a lecturer and visiting scholar at Peking University, practiced law in Washington D.C. and Hong Kong, served as a White House Fellow in the Office of Policy Development and he clerked for Judge David Bazelon and Justice William Brennan. Professor Klausner teaches and writes in the areas of corporate and banking law, including empirical analyses of the terms of minority-shareholder freeze out transactions, anti-takeover protection provided to spin-offs, and anti-takeover defenses in IPOs.
