The Directors' Consortium has created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our Web site. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the web site.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information:
Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers.

Your personal information will be used to provide you with information about activities and for fundraising purposes. Your personal information may also be shared with other departments and vendors for University-related activities.

Your experiences, additional education information, and personal information such as address, telephone, email, spouse, and children may be included in community directories that are made available to other imarketing@chicagobooth.edu alumni, students, faculty, and staff to facilitate contact among members of the community.

When you choose to join programs such as an event, club, or volunteer efforts that are open to broader audiences, your contact information may be made available to participants in that program, again to facilitate contact among program participants.

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business has some affinity partners, such as banks and insurance companies, who offer special promotions for students and alumni. The University may share your information with these business partners in order that they may offer you their services or products, under contracts outlining safe data handling practices intended to protect privacy.

Your personal information will only be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose directly connected with or approved by the imarketing@chicagobooth.edu. Unless we are required by law, or under a contract with a vendor to perform legitimate business, your personal information will not be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization.

We are proud of our alumni and will publish alumni name and degree information (year, school, field of concentration, and dissertation title) from time to time.

Internet Protocol Address:
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Use of "Cookies":
Our Site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site. Cookies are pieces of information that some Web sites transfer to the computer that is browsing that Web site and are used for record-keeping purposes at many Web sites. Opt-out Procedure

Simply place UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line and your request will be forwarded to the proper individual for removal from the mailing list.
